Landscape and Plein Air Paintings
On-location, Landscape paintings from Oregon, Canada, Alaska, and American Great Plains. I have attempted to paint on-site through all four seasons and have resolved to forego painting in winter. I still take sketch pad and pencils into snowy and rainy scenes but carry the drawings inside to begin work with warm paints. My favorite outdoor season is autumn because of the range of colors and values of light.
